Her dance career started at the early age of six. After graduating from the University of Vienna with a degree in Bharatanatyam, her studies continued with several Indian master teachers: Dr. Phil Radhda Anjali, Kalanidhi Narayanan, Adyar K. Lakshman, and Aparna Subramaniam. With the blessing and guidance of Alakh Puriji Siddha Peet Parampara, she continues to study Indian Mythology, the Puranans, and Yoga & Vedic Philosophy.
She is currently the owner of Indian Dance Academy in Vienna, Austria where she trains dancers, develops original choreography, and teaches Nada Yoga with Sanskrit Mantras. www.indische-tanzakademie.at
With great joy, Bhakti Devi has danced on stages on nearly every continent. She is an acclaimed classical Indian Temple Dancer who has performed accross Europe and in India - for film, television, international conferences and for government agencies. She was invited to perform by the Ministry of Culture (Czech Republic), Film and Television Company (Austria), the United Nations, and for several opening ceremonies of the World Peace Summit of Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council.
She is the recipient of international awards and has had the honor of dancing in front of dignitaries and diplomats.
Her exceptional dance technique, combined with deep emotional expression, and a heart full of devotion makes her performances touching, moving, inspiring, and uplifting. Through her dance, she aspires to awaken the longing and connection to the Divine realms.
